Studio 2. 10.00am-1.30pm. Recording: 'Please Mister Postman' (takes 1-9); 'It Won't Be Long' (takes 1-10). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Norman Smith; 2nd Engineer: Richard Langham.

5.00-5.29pm. BBC's 'Pop Go The Beatles' broadcast (recorded 10 July 1963, 1.30-3.30pm).

The Playhouse Theatre, London. Much earlier than 5.30-6.30pm, the contracted time. Recording for BBC's 'Saturday Club': 'Long Tall Sally'; 'She Loves You'; 'Glad All Over'; 'Twist And Shout'; 'You Really Got A Hold On Me'; 'I'll Get You'.

Studio 2. 5.00-11.00pm. Recording: 'Money (That's What I Want)' (piano test, plus takes 8-14); 'Till There Was You' [re-make] (takes 4-8); 'Roll Over Beethoven' (takes 1-8); 'It Won't Be Long' (takes 11-23); 'All My Loving' (takes 1-14). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Norman Smith; 2nd Engineer: Richard Langham.

UK single release: 'Tip Of My Tongue', Tommy Quickly's debut.

1964
W. A. Wilson & Farquharson (Investments) Limited changes name to Harreen Limited, to reflect Harry and Queenie Epstein interests.

1965
Saville Theatre. Private rehearsal for a forthcoming TV appearance.

1966
Brian goes to Portmeirion village, North Wales, with George Martin, to recover from his glandular fever.

''Yesterday'... And Today', 6th week in the Top 30 (Billboard).

1968
Studio 2. 7.30pm-3.30am. Recording: 'Hey Jude' (takes 7-23, tape reduction take 23 into takes 24, 25). Stereo mixing: 'Hey Jude' (remix 1, from take 25). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Ken Scott; 2nd Engineer: John Smith.

During the session, a documental for the British National Music Council is filmed.

Recording: 'Come Together' (overdub onto take 9); 'Polythene Pam'/'She Came In Through The Bathroom Window' (overdub onto take 40); 'You Never Give Me Your Money' (overdub onto take 40) ; 'Golden Slumbers'/'Carry That Weight' (overdub onto take 17). Studio 2 (control room only). 10.30pm-2.30am. Rough compilation to judge the progress of the medley. Paul decides to eliminate 'Her Majesty'. The piece of tape is cut carelessly, leaving on it the end of 'Mean Mr Mustard' and missing the last chord of 'Her Majesty', but since this was just a rough mix, things went on. John Kurlander, second engineer for this session, disobeying Paul, conserved the tape, appending it to the end of the complete tape, but clearly apart from the rest, 15 seconds after 'The End'.
